One monday, I got ready for school since the holidays were over. Right when I got in the car it felt like it was 20 minutes even though it was just four minutes. My dad told us to get off the car because we arrived at school. I walked into my school nervously,wondering if today would rain. I walked up to my group of friends and greeted them. Right after I greeted them the bell rang so I ran to go line up. 5 minutes later my teacher opened the door and greeted us, we greeted her back and line by line we went inside to do our usual stuff. Like grabbing our morning tea and putting it in the tray and grabbing our chromebooks from the chromebook charger, But I brought my chromebook home so I just took it out of my bag. After that I took a book out of my tray and read it for like 15 minutes. My book title was jurassic park, Then the bell rang so I rushed down to sit on the mat waiting for the assembly to start on live tv. 6 minutes later it starts and shows Mr Burt talking, after that we did the karakia and mihi on the tv, That was like for 2 minutes and then Yoda and Mr Burt Said Team 1. Then someone in the voice over said Once upon a time there were 3 pigs who built their own houses out of hay, sticks and bricks. Then they gathered up in the 1st pigs house which was made of hay to have some cake. Until the big bad wolf came and the pig asked the wolf are you going to blow down my house? But the wolf said, What that is so 2020, instead I will push down your house with one finger. So the wolf pushed down the house and the house came apart and the 3 of the pigs were running to the next house. Which was sticks, so they ran to the brick house. The wolf said open the door, but one of the pigs said “you don’t have enough strength to push,pull or drag. So the wolf tried to do all those things but it did not work.
Team 2
Team 2’s one was marble rush where they tested out which marble would go faster. Like the big marble, medium marble or small marble. They checked if they needed half of a pipe to make a ramp for the marble.
Team 3
Team 3 did a song about what they did in the olden days like if they needed to pick up something like in a factory and they pick it up with their hands and pass it to each other. If they needed to give something to someone high then they used a pulley.
Team 4
In team 4 they did how to make paper aeroplanes and step by step they learned about the four forces of flight which are weight, lift, thrust and drag. They work as a team to see whose one would go the furthest.
Team 5
In team 5 they did an experiment of rubber bands like putting on their wrist and pulled it and let go. The funny part is when one of the teachers flicked it on Mr Moran’s wrist and it became red. There’s also at the end it said no teachers were harmed in making this and it had a picture of mr moran’s wrist
Today I have done a scavenger hunt in my class! This was so fun, First we had to get in groups of 2, I was with Marenna and looked for tools that were like 8.5 cm and we had to measure with a ruler. I finished and enjoyed this activity Byee hope you enjoy it!
